A local retailer’s shop is home to a very unique resident. The National Weather Cat, as she is often called, has the ability to accurately predict rain hours before there is even a cloud in the sky.
This particular feline, they say, will climb into a shallow bucket located on a top shelf on the showroom floor prior to rainfall. The theory is that if the rain floods the store to the point that it reaches the cat in the bucket, the cat will simply float away in her makeshift boat.
The store owner and employees assert that the National Weather Cat has a greater accuracy rating than the local television meteorologists. Perhaps the TV weather anchors should consider scrapping all of their fancy computer models and invest in a cat instead.
